The Candle Light Community project begins to shine.
The Candle Light Community Project was born out of a small candle craft home business on the 12th June 2010. As a nurse I have worked with people of all walks of life and have in the last 20 years developed a candle-decorating side-line business during my spare time. Many special requests and orders lead me to train up Bongiwe Ndabeni to take some of the load off my shoulders and to to share in the income and profits.
Within a short period of time Bongiwe developed a skill working with wax materials and design. Slowly but surely, the creative candles developed into real potential for growth. More talent and many more hands were needed!
This is when the Christian Life Community embraced the opportunity to support and grow wax creations into a project that could reach out to involve others in need. A dream within the Christian Life Community was unfolding. This dream was to fulfil the need to find a way to provide employment to men and women less privileged in the townships of Cape Town. This dream too, is to build a school in Nyanga Phillipi where a loving environment will nuture children to reach their full potential. To invest in the whole child is to invest in the moral fibre of society.
It is CLCs desire to make a real change to less fortunate brothers and sisters. The fundamental way to be part of this change is through education to encouraging and supporting human beings to find dignity and prosperity in fulfilled lives.
With pride we launch our CLC Project. May it shine!
